OVERVIEW:
Forty years of hands-on, ground-up, front-line leadership of metals industry projects and other industrial projects, ranging from process line upgrades to mega-project greenfield steelmaking and coil production facilities at every level of working responsibility, including:

Mr. Elliott’s key unique qualification is that he has served in leadership roles for each of the four key participants in metals industry projects, i.e., the Owner, the Process Equipment Supplier, the Construction/Infrastructure Engineer and the Construction Contractor.  Drawing on this broad experience, Mr. Elliott leads projects with a unique, integrated, overall perspective on project planning and execution. His long list of projects (viewed via the link below) includes:

  • 1 million tons/year stainless steel melt shop and 74-inch wide rolling and strip finishing facility for Outokumpu Stainless (formerly ThyssenKrupp Stainless), Calvert, Alabama
  • 1 million tons/year carbon steel melt shop and 112-inch wide hot plate/strip mill for British Steel (now Nucor), Tuscaloosa, Alabama
  • Upgrade of Blaw-Knox 66-inch hot strip mill (new main drive motor, AGC, steckel mill coilers, downcoiler and descale system) for National Steel, Iligan, Philippines
  • 154-inch crop shear replacement (10 days' mill shutdown) for Commonwealth Aluminum, Lewisport, Kentucky
  • No. 2 QBOP Primary Hoods and Secondary Emissions Control for US Steel, Gary, Indiana
  • No. 46 Annealing and Pickling Line for Allegheny Ludlum (now ATI Metals), West Leechburg, PA
