OVERVIEW:

25 years of structural design experience, using Finite Elements methods. 

Highly proficient in StaadPro, as well as Direct Analysis, Response Spectrum, P-D, Pushover and other types of non-linear analysis software required for the most recent releases of design codes.

Marco’s projects range from very large to very small:

• Outokumpu Stainless USA, Calvert, AL: 17,000 tons’ melt shop structure: Marco developed the 3-D model used by a team of 5 design engineers to design this building. Refer to United For Metals home page for photographs of this building.
• ATI Metals, Vandergrift, PA: Roll handling devices (“porter bars”) for annealing and pickling lines
• Weirton Steel, Weirton, WV: Tin mill overhead crane runway girders rehabilitation
• Tuscaloosa Steel (now Nucor), Tuscaloosa, AL: Electric arc furnace charging floor
• AK Steel, Rockport, IN: Rolling mill foundations

Marco’s employment experience includes 11 years with SNC-Lavalin (previously Eichleay Engineers), from 1994 to 2005.

Marco is registered as a P.E. in Pennsylvania and Italy. While his home office is in Italy, he routinely performs work for U.S.A. and European clients, keeping in close contact with his customers with internet desktop sharing, video-conferencing and Skype.
